Abstract:

To provide a screw and a nut capable of surely preventing loosening without applying excess stress to members, though they are discontinuously locked.

Flat portions 12a and slope portions 12b are alternately formed on a thread 12 of a multi-pitch screw 10. Flat portions and slope portions are also formed on a thread of a multi-pitch nut engaged with the multi-pitch screw. The thread of the multi-pitch nut may be continuous or intermittent.
