Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor capable of effectively suppressing the use of a portable communication terminal of a passenger on board.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor 1 of the invention includes a plurality of foot boards 13 moved while being connected endlessly, passenger detection means 31 for detecting a passenger who will get on the conveyor, and communication suppression means 51 for suppressing a communication function of a mobile communication terminal by emitting a communication disturbing radio wave to a space. The communication suppression means 51 determines the existence/absence of a passenger P by using the passenger detection means 31 and emits a communication disturbing radio wave R while it is determined that the passenger P exists. A region positioned above a column of a foot board 13 that is positioned in a sending side among the plurality of foot boards 13 is included in a range where the communication function of a mobile communication terminal X is suppressed by the communication disturbing radio wave R.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
