PURPOSE: To provide a combination of the silver halide photographic sensitive material and radiation-sensitized screen enhanced in sensitivity, capable of reducing X-ray exposure and capable of obtaining a good granular X-ray picture with high sharpness.
CONSTITUTION: At least one of the radiation-sensitized screens in the combination exhibits ≥45% absorption to the X-ray of 80kVp energy, and the contrast transmission factor(CTF) is ≥0.78 at one unit/mm spatial frequency and ≥0.35 at three units/mm spatial frequency. The silver halide photographic sensitive material is provided with a photosensitive layer respectively on the front side and rear side of the substrate. At least one between the two photosensitive layers has the same wavelength as the wavelength of the specified main emission peak of the screen, the layer is exposed with a monochromatic light of 15±5nm half-value width, and the layer has such a sensitivity that the exposure necessary to control the density obtained by the development with a developer of specified composition to the minimum density plus 0.5 is 0.0060 to 0.0110 lux second.
