Abstract:
To provide a combination of lubricant and a sliding member such as a piston ring for an internal combustion engine having a coating film excellent in flow friction performance as a sliding surface.SOLUTION: This invention is a combination of a sliding member 10 and lubricant used when sliding the sliding member 10, wherein when the lubricant contains Mo, the sliding member 10 has a Cr-B-(Mn, Mo)-N alloy film 3 provided on a sliding surface 11, the alloy film 3 contains one or both of Mn and Mo, and the total content of Mn and Mo shall be within a range of 2 mass% or less; and when the lubricant does not contain Mo, the alloy film 3 contains at least Mo, and the total content of Mn and Mo shall be within the range of 2 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
