Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a method for installing PC girders along slopes such as hillside.
CONSTITUTION: Girder blocks 16 in a shape that is made by cutting a girder 17 crosswise into pieces are formed beforehand in necessary numbers. A necessary number of abutments 11 are constructed over a slope 10, and continuous rails 15 are laid, extending over the abutments 11. Then, the girder blocks 16 are placed on the rails 15 and are slid down, being controlled with a winch 24, from the upper part of the slope and are connected one after another and thereby the girder 17 is formed, extending from the lower end. Prestressing is applied afterward to make each of the girder blocks integral to become a PC girder.
