Abstract:
To prevent an entry of a spray of water, moisture and the like to the working surface of an internal shoe brake, and facilitate an appropriate inflow and outflow of moisture both inside and outside of a brake pad.
The combined disk brake and drum brake has two friction rings 2 and 3 and one internal shoe brake 5. One ring channel 11 is defined along the friction ring 13 on the inner side. The ring channel serves to collect and drain out moisture or water droplets flowing into a brake pad 1. The moisture is drained out via one slit 16a between the inner friction ring 3 and one shield plate 16. A ventilation channel 7 is formed as another drainage channel in the brake pad.
