A transmission 100 (200) includes: a traveling HMT 10 constituted so that a travelling pump 20 and a travelling motor 30 are arranged on the same axis, a cylinder block 24 having an input side plunger 25 and an output side plunger 31 is fixed to a traveling pump shaft 12 and a rotating speed of a traveling motor shaft 14 can be increased or reduced up to a predetermined speed from a stopping state by synthesizing rotational power transmitted to the traveling motor shaft 14 via the output side plunger 31 by rotation of the cylinder block 24 and rotational power transmitted to the traveling motor shaft 14 via the output side plunger 31 reciprocated by hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic fluid supplied-discharged by the input side plunger 25; and an advance-retreat switching device 50 interlocked with/connected to the traveling motor shaft 14 and switching the rotational direction of the rotational power.
