To provide a combined steel wall with steel pipes at pitches such as to reduce the stress of steel sheet piles generated near middles between the adjacent steel pipes, develop the effects of combination with the steel pipes, and secure the safety and soundness of a wall body.
In a combined steel wall, a wall body is provided with a plurality of steel sheet piles connected together via joints, a plurality of steel pipes are arranged on the wall body at the side of a high ground surface across the wall body so that their longitudinal directions are approximately parallel to the longitudinal directions of the steel sheet piles and a part of the steel pipes enter recessed portions of the steel sheet pile walls at predetermined pitches in the cross direction of the wall body, and the steel sheet piles are connected to the heads of the steel pipes. L≤10D is satisfied where L is the pitch of the steel pipe on the wall body, and D is the diameter of the steel pipe. This reduces the stress of the steel sheet piles generated near middles between the adjacent steel pipes, shows the effects of combination with the steel pipes, and develops the stiffening effects of the steel pipes over the cross direction of the wall body.
