Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion air intake apparatus in a large scale refuse incineration plant wherein combustion in the incinerator is ensured safely, and which contributes to the promotion of removal of harmful components exhausted from a smokestack.
SOLUTION: A large scale refuse incineration plant is provided with a refuse incineration chamber 2 provided adjacent to a refuse collection chamber 1. A refuse introducing hopper 4 communicating with an incinerator 3 in the refuse incinerator chamber 2 is opened in a side wall 11 of the refuse collection chamber 1. Refuse collected in a refuse pit 5 located at a bottom of the refuse collection chamber 1 is lifted with a crane 6 travelling in the vicinity of a ceiling of the refuse collection chamber 2 and is thrown into the hopper 4 so as to be supplied to the incinerator 3. An air intake hole 7 is formed in the side wall 11 of the refuse collection chamber 1 for sucking air in an upper space in the refuse collection chamber 1 to supply it to the incinerator 3. In the large scale refuse incineration plant, a filter 12 is provided foe covering the suction hole 7, and there is provided a dust sucking head 16 for sucking dust while moving along the surface of the filter 12.
