Abstract:
To provide a combustion apparatus in which, when a short-circuit failure is generated in a stepping motor by means of such a resistance value that prevents an overcurrent protection circuit from being operating, the failure can be appropriately detected.SOLUTION: A hot-water supply apparatus includes a stepping motor, and an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality in the stepping motor. The abnormality detection unit includes a voltage applying unit (power source Vcc, switch 127a) that applies, to the stepping motor, abnormality detection voltage, and a resistor 128b that is connected in series with a coil 301 of the stepping motor. A failure in the stepping motor is detected on the basis of the values of voltages obtained by dividing the abnormality detection voltage to the coil 301 and the resistor 128 and on the basis of a predetermined threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
