PURPOSE: To make a rapid gasification of fuel, ignite the fuel and improve a diminishing of combustion by a method wherein an outer cylinder is fitted at an outer circumference of a combustion cylinder in such a way as it may be moved to each other and air introducing holes are opened or closed under a relative movement of the outer cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid fuel is injected into a gasification chamber 7, gasified by a heating plate 2 and then blown from several gasification holes 3 into a combustion chamber 6. In turn, combustion air is circulated from an air intake pipe 12 to an air introducing passage 25 and then blown from air introducing holes 8, 17, 20 and 28 into the combustion chamber 6. Since the heating plate 2 acts as an ignition glow plug, mixture gas is positively and rapidly ignited. In case of diminishing the flame, a fuel supplying pump is stopped, a supplying of fuel to a gasification chamber 7 is terminated, a rotary actuator 22 is operated, and oscillating bar 21 is rotated around a fulcrum point pin 26 and then an outer cylinder 4 is rotated in respect to a combustion cylinder 11. Air feeding holes 8 and 17 of the combustion cylinder 11 and air feeding holes 28 and 20 of the outer cylinder 4 are set in a non-alignment state to shut off the combustion air. The mixture gas is immediately diminished and non-ignited gas is prevented from being discharged out of a combustion apparatus 1.
