Title:
COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3575337
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustibility by strengthening a tumbling flow of a direct injection spark ignition type internal combustion engine.
SOLUTION: A part to a fuel injection valve of an opening part peripheral wall 10 formed in a circumference of an inlet valve seating part is formed nearer to an inlet valve than a part of the opposite side in a combustion chamber 4 of an internal combustion engine furnished with the fuel injection valve to directly inject fuel to the inside of the combustion chamber from a position to the combustion chamber peripheral wall between the two inlet valves and constituted to generate a tumbling flow to revolve to return to the side of the fuel injection valve along a piston crown surface. Consequently, air suction quantity to form a reverse tumbling flow by flowing out from the fuel injection valve of the inlet valve is decreased, the tumbling flow is strengthened, maldistribution of injected fuel to a part of the inlet valve is restrained, and combustibility is improved.
