Abstract:

To provide a combustion chamber structure of an engine capable of suppressing the occurrence of smoke due to fuel leakage from an injector.SOLUTION: In a combustion chamber structure of an engine, an injector is disposed in the center of the lower surface of a cylinder head forming a combustion chamber, and on a crown surface 10 of a piston 5, a cavity 40 is formed on the central side of the piston 5. The cavity 40 comprises a bottom surface part 41 that projects toward the cylinder head side from the radial outside to the radial inside of the piston 5. In the bottom surface part 41 of the cavity 40, at least one groove part 60 is formed so as to make it deeper in the direction from the radial inside of the piston 5 to the radial outside of the piston 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
