Abstract:
To provide a combustion chamber structure for an engine with a supercharger, capable of improving the fuel economy while maintaining a high compression ratio, by achieving a higher combustion speed utilizing a tumble flow.SOLUTION: A combustion chamber structure for an engine with a supercharger has: a cavity 80 recessed into a spherical crown shape and formed in a center area of a crown surface 40 of a piston 4. A relationship of 5.0≤φ/D≤32.0 is satisfied within a range between 11 and 13 inclusive of geometric compression ratio of a combustion chamber 5 where D is a cavity depth being a depth of the cavity 80, and φ is a cavity diameter being a diameter of an outer peripheral circle of the cavity 80.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
