Abstract:
To stabilize injection of a fuel, to improve fuel consumption, and to purify an exhaust gas by providing a residual inner peripheral wall surface found at an opening portion side of a mounting hole with a special shape.SOLUTION: A mounting hole 12 of which a center axis Ci is inclined toward a lower side of an ignition electrode is formed on a cylinder head 4. A part kept into contact with the mounting hole 12 at an upper side of the mounting hole in a tip end portion of an injector 11 inserted to the mounting hole 12 is positioned in a state of retreating in a direction of the center axis Ci from an opening end of the mounting hole 12. A part from the tip end portion of the injector 11 to the opening portion of the mounting hole 12 in an inner face at an upper side of the mounting hole 12 is a residual inner peripheral wall surface 13. An inclination angle θf formed by the residual inner peripheral wall surface 13 and a joint face F on a plane which is vertical to the joint face F of a cylinder block and the cylinder head and which is along the center axis Ci is smaller than an inclination angle θi formed by the center axis Ci and the joint face F.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
