Abstract:

To improve operability at the time of retreat in a vehicle combining a transmission and a direct injection spark-ignition type engine that can be switched to stratified combustion and uniform combustion.

After the lapse of specified time DLRVON (S3) from the time of the shift position of an automatic transmission being switched to retreat, a stratified combustion forbidding flag GPOSOK is set to '1' (S4), and after the lapse of specified time DLRVOF (S5) from the time of switching over to another shift position from retreat, the stratified combustion forbidding flag GPOSOK is reset to '0' (S6). In the state of the stratified combustion forbidding flag GPOSOK being set to '1', stratified combustion is forbidden to fix to uniform combustion, and target idling speed is corrected to the increase side (S8).
