Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an operation range by compression self-ignition combution, improve fuel consumption, and reduce an exhaust quantity of unburnt HC and NOx.
SOLUTION: An operation condition judging part 2 of an ECU 1 judges an operation condition on the basis of a crank angle sensor signal and an accelerator opening sensor signal to set a fuel injection frequency to one time or two times. A first time fuel injection control part 3 forms a first air-fuel mixture area 6 by controlling first time fuel injection, and a second time fuel injection control part 4 forms a second air-fuel mixture area 7 thicker than the first air-fuel mixture area 6 by controlling second time fuel injection. A fuel injection valve driving part 5 outputs a driving signal of a fuel injection valve 18 according to signals from the first time fuel injection control part 3 and the second time fuel injection control part 4.
