PURPOSE: To perform stable combustion through improvement of mixing of pulverized coal and secondary air by a method wherein when the moisture content of pulverized coal is high, the throttle angle of an air resistor vane is automatically increased to increase the revolution force of secondary air.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion control device for a pulverized coal burner device comprises an inlet thermometer 23 for measuring the inlet temperature of primary air for a pulverized coal mill 7, an outlet thermometer 24 for detecting the outlet temperature of pulverized coal for the pulverized coal mill 7, a correction controller 25 for measuring the moisture content of pulverized coal from the detected temperatures of the two thermometers 23 and 24 and outputting an increase signal 26, by which the throttle angle of an air resistor vane 6 is increased, when a measured moisture content value exceeds a given value, and an adder 27 to add the increase signal 26 from the correction controller 25 to a throttle angle set signal 21 inputted into a drive device 19 for the air resistor vane 6.
