Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize the combustion of fuel vaporized from a core material, and hence reduce the quantity of unburnt gas discharged outside a combustion cylinder, by laying out a cylinder member having a substantially taper face designed to reduce an air flow passage upward inside an internal flame cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: Inside an internal flame cylinder 1 is laid out a cylinder member 14, which is provided with a taper face adapted to reduce an air flow passage 12 upward along the axial core of the internal flame cylinder 1. In this case, the pressure prevailing from the middle part to the upper part of the air flow passage 12 is more stabilized and higher than the pressure in a combustion chamber 3, which faces the air flow passage 12 separated by an internal flame cylinder 1. Moreover, a greater differential pressure can be available, which makes it possible to inhibit the penetration of unburnt gas inside the combustion chamber 3 into the air flow passage 12 side. Furthermore, the air, which has penetrated the air flow passage 12 from a lower part ventilation hole plate 1d of the internal flame cylinder, is supplied to the combustion chamber 3 smoothly from the air flow passage 12. The air and petroleum are mixed to a satisfactory extent inside the combustion chamber 3. As a result, the petroleum vaporized from a core 1 is burnt in a stabilizing manner, thereby reducing the quantity of unburnt gas discharged outside the combustion cylinder.
