Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a combustion for a direct injection type diesel engine which is constituted to suppress the generation of NOx in combustion gas.

CONSTITUTION: In a direct injection type diesel engine wherein a cavity is formed in the top surface of a piston 2 and a multiinjection nozzle fuel valve 4 is provided thereabove, a combustion device comprises an exhaust gas bypass pipe 8 opened in the exhaust port 6 of a cylinder head 3; and a combustion gas compression device 4a to pressurize exhaust gas, introduced in the same fuel valve 4 through a bypass pipe, according to a load.
