To provide a combustion device for simultaneously burning coal and biomass capable of obtaining uniform mixability of pulverized coal and biomass fine particles in a fuel flow passage upstream of a combination burner.
The combination burner 3 is provided at a tip end of pulverized coal piping 2 for supplying the pulverized coal to a furnace, and a tip end of biomass piping 7 for supplying biomass fuel particles to the furnace 5 is connected to the pulverized coal piping 2 immediately before the burner 3. At that time, a venturi part 7b is provided in an inner wall of a connecting part 7a of the pulverized coal piping 2 of the biomass piping 7. The biomass fuel particles are effectively dispersed in a pulverized coal flow in the pulverized coal piping 2 to obtain the uniform mixability of the pulverized coal and the biomass fine particles, and an effective use of regeneration energy, reduction in solid fossil fuel, and suppression of a generation amount of CO2 can be achieved by low NOx and the use of biomass, garbage, and waste material.
