To enhance the combustibility at the time of burning a solid fuel and to effectively discharge ash remained after burning from a combustion chamber.
A combustion equipment 30 which burns a solid fuel supplied onto a floor 32 of a combustion chamber 31 includes a burner 34 which ignites the solid fuel and an air nozzle which blows off air into the combustion chamber and generates an air flow. This air nozzle is made of two kinds of nozzles, that is, an inclined nozzle which blows off air from above toward the solid fuel on the floor 32 and a horizontal nozzle which blows off air along a sidewall of the combustion chamber. Furthermore, the floor 32 of the combustion chamber 31 is formed in a shelf and has a large number of slits, while a rotary shaft 51 is disposed below the floor surface 32 parallel to the floor surface 32. On this rotary shaft 51, ash scraper plates 52 which are respectively inserted into slits and have at least outermost diameter portions thereof protruded upwardly a given amount from the floor surface 32 are respectively mounted.
