Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a combustion inhibitor which has stable viscosity and can give a coating film not becoming sticky upon absorption of moisture and to provide a refractory material excellent in the freedom of selection of shape and quality appearance by using this combustion inhibitor.
CONSTITUTION: This inhibitor is prepared by mixing 10-40wt.% base mainly consisting of urea type and/or melamine type amino resin precondensates with 4-20wt.% titanium, 12-40wt.% alumina, 4-40-wt.% silicon dioxide, 10-40wt.% aluminum phosphate, 20-40wt.% water-soluble adhesive and 5-20wt.% water. This material 6 is prepared by forming a refractory layer 5 on a base material 4 made of a combustible material such as paper, corrugated board, wood, plywood, cloth or a nonwoven fabric, an incombustible material such as metal or glass fiber or a resin material such as polystyrene or urethane foam by coating the base material with the above inhibitor or immersing the base material in the above inhibitor.
