Abstract:

To provide a combustion mechanism for generating a flame jet, which has a fast combustion cycle.

The mechanism for generating the flame jet has a volume formed of at least one vertical structural member 14 and two opposing horizontal structural members 16, 18. A rotatable fan 34 is located within the volume and rotates in a plane generally parallel to the planes of the horizontal structural members 16, 18. This mechanism also contains a means 36 for igniting a combustible gas which is contained within the volume so as to propel a flame jet outside the volume.
