The combustion safety controller 1 comprises a first microcomputer 2 for controlling a solenoid on/off valve 7 provided in the gas supply passage 6 to a gas burner 5 based on the combustion sequence and delivering a signal for closing the solenoid on/off valve 7 when a state where the flame of the gas burner 5 is not detected continues for a first specified time or longer, and a second microcomputer 3 delivering a signal for closing the solenoid on/off valve 7 when a state where the flame of the gas burner 5 is not detected continues for a second specified time, set longer than the first specified time, or longer when a signal for opening the solenoid on/off valve 7 has been delivered from the first microcomputer 2.
