A combustion-suppressing member with an opening part comprising a circular hole bored in the center part is arranged on solid fuel, and the solid fuel is also arranged on this combustion-suppressing member. First, the upper solid fuel is burned overall to cook a pot with strong heating power, and then from the upper solid fuel to the lower solid fuel are continuously burned through the opening part. Then, the lower solid fuel is burned with weak heating power with small flame from the opening part so as to keep a pot dish warm over a long time.
