To reduce the generation of white smoke or smell by restraining the reliquefying of volatile fuel before and after the period of stationary combustion in a combustion type heater for heating of a vehicle and the like.
A burner 2, burning volatile fuel and heating fluid by the combustion heat through the wall of a housing 1, a fluid circulating means 33, circulating said fluid between a heat exchanger 34, employing said liquid as heat medium, and a flow passage 31, and evaporating means 41, 42 evaporating liquid fuel supplied from a fuel supplying means 5 to burn it, are provided in a housing 1, wherein the flow passage 31, through which said fluid flows, is formed. Further, a combustion type heater is provided with fluid circulation control means S1, S2, controlling said fluid circulating means 33 so that the flow rate of fluid, loosing heat in the burner 2, becomes smaller than the same, circulating in the period of stationary combustion, before and after the period of stationary combustion, in which there is possibility that the fuel, evaporated once, loses heat by the wall and the like of said burner 2 and reliquefied since the temperature of the burner 2 is not sufficient, are provided.
