To provide a combustion vessel for impact sound generator and an impact sound generator which generate a sound, smoke, and flame similar to those generated in an actual combat, and reduce secondary fire generated when the impact sound generator is removed from a latching stopper.

The combustion vessel 16 for the impact sound generator 15 includes a bottom wall 17, a cylindrical peripheral wall 18 erected from the bottom wall 17, and a platelike lid 21 which is attached to the upper end of the peripheral wall 18 and has a gas exhaust port 19. The combustion vessel 16 contains gas generating agents 30. The bottom wall 17 is provided with ignition members, such as an ignition tool 28 and a transfer charge 29, that fire the gas generating agents 30. In the combustion vessel 16, a secondary fire retarder 26 is arranged in an area other than an area occupied with the gas generating agents 30, preferably on the bottom wall 17.
