A combustor (14) includes at least one combustor liner (24) defining a combustion chamber (40) and capable of directing combustion products toward a turbine (16). At least one combustor sleeve (30) is arranged outside the combustion chamber (40) and is capable of reducing a magnitude of acoustic waves in the combustion chamber (40). The at least one combustor liner (24) and the at least one combustor sleeve (30) define at least one flow channel (32) therebetween. Further, the combustor (14) includes at least one combustor liner (24) defining the combustion chamber (40) and capable of directing combustion products toward the turbine (16). At least one combustor sleeve (30) is disposed outside the combustion chamber (40) and is capable of controlling distribution of fluid flow (52) in the combustor (14) to modify uniformity of the fluid flow (52) to the combustion chamber (40).
