The comfortable white robe or the comfortable protecting gown comprises a union cloth having a structural texture of double weaving or multi weaving, and including a hydrophobic synthetic fiber and a hydrophilic fiber exemplified by an acrylate-based fiber. The front surface side of the union cloth is mainly formed out of the hydrophobic synthetic fiber, and the back surface side thereof is mainly formed out of the yarns containing the hydrophilic fiber. The maximum value of the number of the floating yarns containing the hydrophilic fiber on the back surface is 2-5, and the bacteriostatic activity value after 50 times of washing is ≥2.5 but ≤7.0.
