PURPOSE: To enable vines to be utilized for furniture, decorations or the like, by processing and treating natural vines.

CONSTITUTION: Vines, which are extremely poor in resistance to water or moisture, are collected in the season when they do no contain water, namely, during the four months from the beginning of November to February of the next year. Then, the vines are treated with a mothproofing agent, and are dried under a controlled relative humidity of at most 70%. The duration of drying depends on the diameter of the vine, and is half a year for a diameter of about 25mm and one year for a diameter of about 50mm. Thereafter, the surfaces of the vines are finished with varnish to make the surfaces glossy.
