Abstract:
To enable commodity inventory by using a wireless tag attached on each commodity put on a display shelve.
A commodity inventory system includes a wireless tag reader 14 for reading over the radio the tag data stored in the wireless tag 17 attached on each commodity 18 put on a display shelve 19 and a store controller 12 for controlling the wireless tag reader 14. The store controller 12 includes a counter 532 for counting the score of each read tag data by the tag reader 14 and a tag data memory 531 for storing the counted tag data. Further, the commodity inventory information is generated based on the tag data, and displayed on a touch panel 64 or printed out on a recording paper by a printer 65.
