For instance, when a paper jamming has occurred and an error signal has been generated, initial read controlling means 101 and 102 read the first message among error content messages relating to an outputting means (printer) 25 which are stored in a message storing means 103M. As a result, voice output controlling means 101 and 102 operate and make voice outputting means 40 and 45 output a read message (paper jamming) by voice. When a person in charge inputs declaration of intention to the effect that restoration work is started, step signal generating means 101 and 102 generate a step signal, step read controlling means 101 and 102 read the next message and the means 40 and 45 convert the message into voice and output it.
