PURPOSE: T connect different kinds of terminal equipment to one circuit correspondence part for origination by providing the circuit correspondence part with a register which holds information on transmission conditions, and setting transmission conditions corresponding to the kind of a terminal equipment connected to a circuit in the register.
CONSTITUTION: Information on the transmission conditions of an opponent terminal equipment is set in the transmission condition setting register 11 by putting the processor 10 of a communication controller 2' in operation by an indication from a central processor, and running a corresponding program stored in an ROM9. The circuit correspondence part 3' switches its control systems according to the information held in said register 11 to cope with a different transmission speed and synchronization system.
