Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the decrease of a data rate and throughput by using a packet switching link between a wireless unit and a base station in a data session.
SOLUTION: A packet switching link belongs to a packet switching path between a wireless unit 122 and a device on a packet data network(PDN) 126 via a base station 124 and a data inter-working function(IWF) 140 to a PDN 104. A wireless channel and the other system resources can be shared because a plurality of wireless units support a plurality of packet switching connections to a device in the PDN 104. A basic code channel (line switching link) is first established and used for the transmission of a data packet in a packet data session. In this line link, the packet switching connections request the transmission of a data packet and are also used as a part of a packet switching link to which wireless resources have to be allocated.
