PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly start communication setting operation to connect an information processing apparatus to the Internet.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes: a network address acquisition section which acquires at least one of an address of a default gateway in a network to which the communication apparatus belongs, and an address of a DNS server; an identification information acquisition section which transmits a specific protocol to an information processing apparatus, and receives identification information including a LAN-side IP address of the information processing apparatus; and a determination section that determines whether a setting section, which performs setting procedure on the information processing apparatus when the information processing apparatus connects to the Internet via a WAN-side interface, is operable or not, on the basis of the identification information of the information processing apparatus acquired by the identification information acquisition section and at least one of the address of the DNS server and the address of the default gateway acquired by the network address acquisition section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
