A communication apparatus including an error correcting unit for performing error correction using a redundant packet during communication further includes: a real communication band calculating unit for calculating a communication band including the redundant packet when performing error correction using the redundant packet by the error correction unit; and a re-allocation requesting unit for transmitting a re-allocation request of the communication band to a gatekeeper device within the band calculated by the real communication band calculating unit.
