Abstract:
A method for wireless communication is described, comprising identifying a first station causing high interference to a second station in a heterogeneous network comprising base stations of at least two different transmit power levels, wherein the second station is a user equipment, an mitigating interference due to a first reference signal from the first station by canceling the interference at the second station, wherein the canceling the interference comprises estimating the interference due to the first reference signal at the second station, and subtracting the estimated interference from a received signal at the second station to obtain an interference-canceled signal.
