Abstract:
To ascertain whether the amount of noise in a communication signal in a communication channel between units of a device is greater than a permitted amount.SOLUTION: A communication circuit 2, which receives a communication signal of a communication path CP between units 20 and 30 of a device 50, has a function to diagnose a noise environment of the communication path CP. The communication circuit 2 has a noise quantification unit 40 that quantifies the amount of noise, which is the amount of noise included in the communication signal based on the number of signal edges, which are one or both of a rising edge or a falling edge of the communication signal in a predetermined period, and a determination signal output unit 14, which varies and outputs a determination signal in order to provide notification by a notification device 12 when the amount of noise exceeds a predetermined noise tolerance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
