PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication connection system and a communication connection method that can autonomously determine an optimal communication connection system and perform communication when an installed apparatus and an information terminal are connected via the Internet.SOLUTION: A communication connection management server 10 in a communication connection system 1000 obtains an IP address at the WAN side of a router right above the server itself and an IP address (global IP address) at the WAN side of a router directly connected with the Internet from an installed apparatus 7. Then, the communication connection management server 10 determines whether or not an Internet environment at the installed apparatus 7 side is a multiple-router environment, determines an optimal communication connection system is a DDNS system if it is not the multiple-router environment, and determines the optimal communication connection system is an STUN system if it is the multiple-router environment, and transmits it as connection system information to the installed apparatus 7 and an information terminal 6.
