To provide a new method of selecting a communication medium for communication equipment that can utilize a plurality of communication media.
The communication equipment 10 can utilize the plurality of communication media, such as a first communication medium 20-1, second communication medium 20-2, etc., as communication routes at the time of performing communication. In a route information storing means 11, route information to which priority order used by the equipment 10 for communication and shows the communication route used for the communication of the information is stored. A route information setting means 12 sets route information to which the highest priority order is given for utilizing a different communication medium instead of the presently utilizing medium. A communication means 13 performs communication by using the communication route following the priority order.
