Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent system-down by allowing a standby side to check a duplicate address while a communication station in duplicate subscribes a communication line at a control side.
CONSTITUTION: A right side 7 having a control right subscribes a normal communication line 4 and a subscriber flag is set to 1 in a subscriber flag setting register 714. A timing generating means 711 gives a timing signal to a left side 6 being a standby side periodically. A duplicate address check means 612 checks a subscriber flag of a subscriber flag setting register 612 based on the timing signal and checks a duplicate address when a subscriber flag is set to 0. When a duplicate address is detected, a fault notice means 613 informs a fault due to duplicate address to a host computer 62 and a communication controller 61 stops the operation. In this case, the computer 62 informs it to the operator that the control right is not moved to the left side.
