Abstract:

To easily select a use band desired by a user when data is transmitted through a network such as an NGN, of which use charge is different on the basis of a use band.

In the transmission of an image through an NGN 108, an image communication device 101 calculates a communication time required for data transmission by each use band of the NGN. According to charging information indicative of a use charge per unit time for each use band of the NGN and a communication time, the image communication device determines a use band to be used for the data transmission.
