Abstract:
To provide a communication apparatus capable of suitably controlling communication performance of an on-vehicle network system as a whole even if new on-vehicle equipment is added to the on-vehicle network system.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus comprises: a wireless transmission/reception section capable of performing data communication by wireless; a wired transmission/reception section capable of performing data communication by a wire; a management section for, on the basis of a priority included in a data frame outputted by on-vehicle equipment, managing routing information specifying, for a data frame relayed by the communication apparatus, whether data communication is performed through a wired route or a wireless route; and a transfer section for transferring, through a route specified by the routing information, a data frame via the radio transmission/reception section or the wired transmission/reception section. Each time new on-vehicle equipment is connected to the communication apparatus, the management section updates the routing information on the basis of a priority included in a data frame outputted by the new on-vehicle equipment and a priority included in a data frame outputted by already-connected on-vehicle equipment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
