To provide a communication device that prevents the reliability of ad hoc communication as direct radio communication between communication devices from becoming lower as the communication state change with time without always using the communication band of a communication network such as the Internet.
The communication device has a communication control means which holds an ad hoc address for identifying a communication device in communication by an ad hoc transmitting and receiving means and a communication network address for identifying a communication device in communication by a communication network transmitting and receiving means, and an ad hoc path storage means of storing an ad hoc path table. The communication control means when requesting data from another communication device generates a data request signal including the communication address of its device while the ad hoc address of its device is set as a transmission source and outputs the data request signal to the ad hoc transmitting and receiving means, and the ad hoc transmitting and receiving means converts the data request signal from the communication control means into a radio signal and transmits it to a communication capable of direct communication.
