Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retry processing of a phase and to execute recovery processing of a proper communication procedure by detecting a tone B signal for a prescribed time when the second tone B signal from call MODEM is not received for the prescribed time and returning the communication procedure following a V.34 recommendation to a prescribed phase when the tone B signal is detected in the prescribed time.
SOLUTION: MODEM 104 has a function to automatically execute a communication procedure following the V.34 recommendation and sequentially writes status information showing an execution state by MODEM 104 into a status register. Based on status register information of MODEM 104, a CPU 101 controls MODEM 104 when the recovery processing of the communication procedure is required, and executes the recovery operation. The CPU101 detects the tone B signal for two seconds when the second tone B signal from call MODEM is not received for two seconds. When the tone B signal is detected within the time, the communication procedure following the BV.34 recommendation is returned to the prescribed phase.
