PURPOSE: To make common the synchronizing circuit of a mobile terminal to be used for both the microcell system of a TDMA/TDD system and the macrocell system of a CDMA/TDD system by making common the basic frame constitution of a transmission channel for the respective systems.
CONSTITUTION: The TDMA/TDD system is provided with the same frame constitution as a PHP system, and the CDMA/TDD system makes the basic frame constitution (frame time) for transmission/reception common with the TDMA and multiplexes respective N channels. Then, one part of a frequency band or a modulation/demodulation system to be used for both the systems of the TDMA/TDD system and the CDMA/TDD system and further the amount of information data (the number of bits) to be transmitted for one frame per channel of both the systems are made common. Thus, one part of a radio part, modulating/demodulating part (a second-order modulation circuit 110 and a first-order demodulation circuit 113) and base band transmission/reception data processing part at the mobile terminal (such as the encoding/decoding processing part for voice, for example), is made common.
