Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment and a shaping processing method where shaping processing of connection corresponding to various traffics is executed without the provision of a specific top priority queue.
SOLUTION: A pre-stage shaping section 14 of this communication equipment uses a cell type distribution section 14a to extract cell type information from a received cell. An input control section 14c receives information of the obtained cell type. The input control section 14a discriminates cell storage possibility based on the obtained information in this case to control the cell type distribution section 14a. A management control section 14d reads cells by taking not only scheduling but also priority of a connection queue from which the cells are read into account under this control in the case of reading the cells from FIFO memories 1-n of a buffer section 14b in the unit of connection queue.
