To provide communication equipment with built-in splitter capable of making use of an external splitter even when a splitter is built in.
The communication equipment with built-in splitter is provided with an ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) terminal 26a for connecting the ADSL side of the external splitter with an ADSL modem 3 and a telephone terminal 26b for connecting the PSTN (public switch telephone network) side of the external splitter with a telephone part 4 as a terminal 26 for external splitter. The ADSL terminal 26a and the telephone terminal 26b also have terminals to be connected with the ADSL side and the PSTN side of an internal splitter 2. When internal/external switching connectors 27, 28 are inserted into the ADSL terminal 26a and the telephone terminal 26b, the internal splitter 2 is connected with the ADSL modem 3 and the telephone part 4 and the internal splitter 2 can be used.
