PURPOSE: To provide a communication equipment and a communication system where the destination of communication is safely and surely inputted without error.
CONSTITUTION: A region dictionary 2 and a destination name dictionary 3 where regions and destination names corresponding to destination numbers are stored are prepared; and when a destination number is inputted by a destination input means 1 like a dialer, dictionaries 2 and 3 are retrieved by a retrieving means 4 to display the region name and the destination name on a display device 5 so that error of the destination number can be confirmed and corrected then and there. Contents of the region dictionary 2 are kept in the optimum state through a communication line. Thus, the probability of error is reduced even in the case of first and long telephone numbers, and the communication equipment and the communication system capable of safe communication are provided.
